We want the website and the shop to work for everyone in town. Here is where we stand and how to tell us when something doesn't.
This website
We build against WCAG 2.1 Level AA as a working target. That means semantic headings, visible focus outlines, keyboard-operable menus and filters, text alternatives on every photograph, and colour contrast checked against our palette.
- Every page can be navigated with a keyboard alone
- Motion respects the reduce-motion setting in your operating system
- Text can be zoomed to 200% without loss of content
- Images carry descriptive alternative text
Known gaps Some product data is presented in dense tables that are awkward on small screens, and the interactive filters have not yet been tested with every screen reader. Both are on the list.
The garden centre
The shop entrance is at grade with a level threshold, and the main aisles are wide enough for a wheelchair or a walker. The greenhouse has an uneven gravel floor in places — ask at the counter and someone will bring anything you want to see out to you.
We will carry orders to your vehicle on request, always, and we will hold a curbside order at the door if getting inside is difficult.
